I’m a psychotherapist with over 29 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked in clinical, residential, and private practice settings, and have received training in multiple evidence based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy.

While I specialize in treating substance abuse and other addictive disorders, I’m experienced in helping clients resolve a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety, and stressful life transitions including grief and loss. Additionally I’m trained to help individuals, couples, and families with relational issues, and my expertise includes the skills to enable individuals to mature and grow emotionally and psychologically within relationships with others.

Treatment Approach

In my experience the journey of healing through therapy is a collaborative effort, working together to build on your strengths, and to develop an effective plan to overcome the obstacles that are getting in the way of your best life.

My approach is client-centered, and I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to offer a  personalized approach tailored to each client. My style tends to be active when working with clients, and I fully engage with my clients and offer my genuine thoughts and opinions, as well as actionable feedback and advice when appropriate.

I’m happy to discuss my approach in more detail, and hopefully demystify the process.
